What's New?

This year, the Laboratory will carry out two activities:

The first one will consist of a seminar/workshop on “assessing the impacts of business strategies targeted at the base of the pyramid,” which will have the attendance of Ted London (University of Michigan) as main teacher, and Miguel Angel Gardetti (IESC.)

The framework for the second activity will be a working breakfast devoted to discussion and analysis of the “great convergence” (combination of “disruptive technology” development and base of the pyramid conceptualization.) Prof. Stuart L. Hart will deliver an introduction videoconference for this activity.

The BoP Learning Lab that has been developed by the Center for Study of Coporate Sustainability in Argentine since September 2005, in association with The Center for Sustainable Global Enterprise (The Johnson School, Cornell University), is a framework that, bearing in mind the existing inequality, analyzes the role of the private sector to eradicate poverty as a proactive partner, betting on the potential of local players to cooperate in fostering and jointly promoting local development. Thus, this learning lab is a catalyst for cross-functional analysis, research, and field projects, to provide strategic information to different sectors.
